Kath Williams

Elder - Portfolio: Under 30s

Kath is an Elder and a member of Church Council. Kath is a vibrant, happy woman with a zest for life and people. She started attending Coro in her teens and has been an active member of the church since then. Throughout her time at Coro she has been involved in Youth and Children’s ministry and has also worked as a Youth Leader at Wirraway Homestead for four years.

In 2016, she headed overseas to Cambodia with Interserve to serve mission kids on the field, working for two years as a Youth Leader at Hope International School. She found this time enriching and grew in her faith in God. During her time in Cambodia, she was very thankful to the church community for the support given to her. She currently works with Interserve as a TCK Advocate.

Kath has a degree in Social Work, a Graduate Diploma in Divinity and is currently studying for her Master of Divinity. She would like to be involved as an elder following a comment made to her when she was a young teen from a good friend and prayer warrior, Clarice Lohmeyer, that you need to be a part of the church if you want to see change and to take notice of the eldership’s experience. She believes she has grown and matured as a Christian and has the skills and experience to serve the church, not only able to share her knowledge of working overseas and in Australia with young people but also adults. She also believes that her love of the church and the congregation at Coromandel Valley as well as her skills as a counsellor and child advocate will be beneficial.
